Operation Recovery / Operation Justice

Shortly after the devastating 2007 Corral Fire, which destroyed over 53 homes and turned lives upside down, Corral Canyon resident Beverly Taki launched "Operation Recovery" as an important support effort with the sole purpose of assisting fire victims -- both in and outside Corral Canyon -- with recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Operation Recovery has sponsored seminars and rebuilding events which has provided nearly 100 people affected by the fires with useful tips and techniques on everything from dealing with insurance companies to applying for building permits, grants and loans.

Also under the leadership of Beverly Taki, "Operation Justice" was formed to help create a strong working relationship between fire victims, residents, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office during the prosecution of those responsible for igniting the 2007 Corral Canyon Fire.
